We are moving!
Since 2004, the Children’s Safety Village has reached over 15,000 children and youth through engaging, hands-on education in areas such as road, fire, home, rail, animal, and internet safety. Now, we’re entering an exciting new chapter: we’re moving to a larger, more accessible, and interactive facility.
The Children’s Safety Village will be relocating to 1.5 acres of land at the site of the former Hillcrest Public School, located at 88 West Street and McFarland Drive. This new, custom-built space will increase our capacity, expand our programming, and strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality safety education to even more children and families in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
Highlights of the new site include:
-
Expanded classrooms and interactive learning environments
-
Improved accessibility in a quieter, safer location
-
Space for future growth and new programming
-
Enhanced ability to fulfill our mission of empowering children and youth with lifelong safety skills
If you’d like to help make our vision of a brand new Children’s Safety Village a reality, we welcome your support in a variety of ways. Whether through donations, sponsorships, volunteering, or joining our Capital Campaign Committee, every contribution helps us create a safer, more inclusive space for children and youth. Together, we can build a Village that empowers the next generation with lifelong safety skills.
