Rail Safety with VIA Rail
VIA Rail's LOOK, LISTEN, LIVE in partnership with the CSV is proud to offer a Rail Safety program that teaches youth about the dangers of railway crossings.
Using a functioning rail crossing in the Village, youth will learn how to cross train tracks as a pedestrian and as a biker. They will learn about the safety information located at every train crossing, how to call in an emergency, and why playing on the tracks isn't a good idea.
VIA Rail uses virtual reality to demonstrate smart decision making on train platforms and when crossing the tracks. Real life anecdotes prove that rail safety is no joke and help to solidify the importance of making smart and safe decisions when it comes to safety.
